MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, opened two new urgent care centers recently in Texas. The centers, at 5001 S. Hulen St. and 5700 N. Tarrant Pkwy. in Fort Worth, opened Wednesday, June 20, and Wednesday, July 25, respectively.
The Fort Worth centers will offer free sports physicals to patients ages six and up from their open date until August 7.
The Fort Worth centers are the 10th and 11th locations in Texas. MedExpress plans to open a new center in Arlington this August.

The centers will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common summertime injuries such as cuts, scrapes, rashes, bites, stings and burns – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Fort Worth residents maintain good health and well-being.
The Fort Worth centers will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The centers will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The centers will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, radiologic technologists, nurses and customer service representatives.
